Saw some of these an a store today. Very colorful and attractive fish. Don't see much about them in th profiles. Does anyone keep them?

Nice find! Care should be similar to other Leptobotia's.

This family of fish are sub-tropical and live in fast to medium flow streams throughout China. They therefore appreciate current in their aquarium, good aeration and filtration.

Sinibotia pulchra often come in misidentified as L. guilenensis, but not always.

Thanks. The Leptobotia g. in the profiles is a good match for the general shape etc. but the vertical yellow stripes on the fish in the store are much brighter and more clearly defined than in the photo, maybe it is a dud photo. It seems more like the Leptobotia sp. in profiles. Not at all like the Sinobotia.
As far as care is concerned I have tank space where all the current and O2 you would ever need is available.
I was wondering about how many. The LFS was suggesting that they should be kept in groups which spelled clown loach to me, and I have no room at present for 4-5 fish of that potential size. I could fit in one or maybe two, but would that be too few for them to thrive?
