Lepidocephalichthys sp. ?

It's skinny as hell. I didn't expect him to make it through the night but today he's been quite active, compared to the state of perpetual shock he seemed to be in at the LFS.
Currently being treated with Prazi and Metro.

It's a Lepidocephalichthys species of some sort and absolutely yes it's skinny.
It looks kind of closest to L. berdmorei, but you may be able to tell better once it puts on some weight and becomes more established in your aquarium.

The way you sees him is the way I sees 'im. :D

I thought he looked more like L. berdmorei when looking through the species profiles the night I picked him up. They were calling him "red spotted loach" at the LFS but I know how little that may mean.
Haven't seen him eat with my own two peepers yet but I think he is picking up some of the stuff I'm giving him when I'm not all up in his grill.
I hope he does well. They had lots of "weather" and "dojo loaches" but he was the only one of his kind I could find.
