Sick Burmese Border Please Help

Post by blossom » Sun Jul 01, 2007 4:49 pm

How do you know if your loaches are suffering from skinny disease. Im very worried about my Burmeses and 1 yoyo. I will try to take pic. What can i do if it does have it?
Will it hurt other fish?

29g
3 Gouramis
8 tetras
2 yoyo
5 burmese borders
3 snails (mystery snails)

0 amm
0 nirite
10 nitrate
high PH of 8.0 ( api test kit has up to 7.6, regament is MUCH darker so i am estimating 8.0)

sand substrate
2 driftwood pieces
1 large imagination rock
2 caves

I added 2 burmeses 2 months ago
then i got 2 yoyo's 2 weeks later
the last burmese was added about a month ago
stays in cave. never comes out with friends. doesnt eat.
I just saw him last night and almost freaked cuz not same loach i bought. looks shorter and thinner. However colour os very bold.
